Have the Model 975? Want 4K/HDR without having to replace your Model 975 surround processor? Problem solved!

We’ve collaborated with our colleagues at Transformative Engineering (TE), a leading supplier of HDMI products for business and professional applications. The goal was to perfect a compact accessory product that, when mated with a legacy 1080P receiver, or processor such as the Outlaw Model 975, would be capable of delivering the full 4K/UHD experience. While developing this box for their own installers, we approached them about the idea of working with us to develop a dedicated box for the Model 975 that would address the challenge. TE initially developed this product for their customers but, they were open to working with us to develop a special “Outlaw Edition” that would address the challenge.

Highly sophisticated in its internal circuitry, this small box is easy to connect and use. It has four HDMI inputs that are HDMI 2.0b/HDCP 2.2 compatible, 600MHz/18Gbps throughput, and two HDMI outputs: One HDMI output, labeled "Pass-Thru", connects directly to the latest 4K/UHD TVs, or projectors and passes through full 4K/UHD resolution, (HDMI 2.0b/ HDCP 2.2), including pass-through of HDR10. The other HDMI output, labeled “Audio Only”, is what makes the HDS-42AVR the perfect mate to a Model 975. It delivers an "audio only" signal that enables the Model 975 to accurately decode the compatible embedded audio bit streams such as, Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital Plus, or DTS Master Audio, without having to worry about HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 complications. The end result lets you have full 4K/UHD while still listening to the renowned audio performance of the Model 975!
